Customization & Printing Technique
We only use the
best state of the art machinery to ensure that our printing services produce
the best quality results. Our services mainly include Screen Printing, Embroidery, Transfer Printing,Digital Printing...Let us know if you require a particular
printing method, alternatively we'll recommend the best method for your
individual requirements based on cost and end use.
Srceen Printing is a printing technique that uses a screen with open areas on a silk mesh that transfers ink as a sharp-edged image onto the garments. The open areas of the silk mesh are your designs. A roller or squeegee is moved across the screen, pumping ink through the opens areas of the silk stencil, and directly onto the garments.
The artwork is digitised and then computerised embroidery machines are used to stitch the logo or design onto your items of clothing using embroidery software. Embroidery produces an expensive looking, durable finish which is actually very reasonably priced and creates a professional appearance. |
Transfer Printing are great for short runs and full
colour images, or individual names and numbers for sports teams. Great for
Bespoke individual customization of t-shirts and clothing. Your image is
printed onto specialist Transfer Material and/or cut out from specialist
vinyl using our Cad Cutting Machines. It is then placed in the correct
position on the garment and heat pressed using special heat press machinery,
this is also known as heat
transfer printing. |

Artwork Guidelines
Refer to the guidelines below for the best results. However,
if you're not familiar with design programs, attach your artwork and email Edar’s
Sales Team in whatever format you have so we can give you an accurate quote and
then we can help to adjust your artwork into the correct print ready format
before going to print.
Design Size
Set artwork files to actual 'size' with Photoshop files saved as 300dpi.
Logos, graphic and lettering
Vector based artwork is required for most types of printing. Adobe Illustrator
is the preferred program, please save as .ai or .eps files. Ensure any placed
images have a resolution of 300dpi and image size should be at least 100% of
intended print size. Save all fonts to outlines.
Digital Photographs
If you just want a photograph printed then the following
formats are acceptable: .psd, .jpeg, .pdf, .eps.
- Image resolution must be 150-300dpi
- Image size should be at least 100% of the intended print
size
- Save as CMYK
- Tell us the dimensions of the prints if you know them
Fonts
If you have used text, convert all the text to outlines by selecting 'Type' -
'Create Outlines' in Adobe Illustrator. This is very important as it will
allow us to view your files as they were designed, instead of having our
program convert your fonts to one that is installed. If you can't convert
the text to outlines then make sure you supply us with the appropriate fonts.
Web Images
Images taken from websites in general will not be suitable for printing as the
quality is very low and the print will be pixelated. Always try to get the
original logo or image file in the formats mentioned below. If using Google
Images, select large or very large images.
Accepted Formats
Adobe Illustrator (.ai, .eps)
- Convert all text to outlines
- Outline all strokes
Adobe Photoshop (.psd, .tif, .eps)
- Must be 300 dpi
- Save as CMYK
Acrobat (PDF)
- Set image export to 300dpi
- Embed all fonts and images upon export
